Rainy day today so thought I’d get on and get the engine finished, Bits turned up from zee Germans so time to fit new seals, bearings, clutch. And new top end, the scoots had updated new suspension, getting there slowly!

Coast to coast Vespa update

Time to strip  down
the coast to coast ride!
A  1986 vespa T5 /GS 200 , This Vespa was imported from Belgium a few years ago and found in Brisbane motorcycle shop.
In the uk  the Vespa known as a T5, Spain a tx and in in Belgium and Germany known as a GS.
Time for new bearings and seals ,clutch,and new top end and uprated suspension and new tyres .10 weeks to go to the big ride!

First fundraiser - Sausage Sizzle at Anaconda, Kawana Waters QLD.

It was a great day yesterday at the sausage sizzle. We had a lot of support and sold around 270 sausages plus drinks with all proceeds going to Beyond Blue.

We had a few discussions with people about mental health and we got some positive feedback.

I wanted to say a big thank you to Ian Banister and his staff at Anaconda, Kawana Waters for  allowing it to happen.
















Also a special thanks to Ian Banister, Manager of the store for fixing up all of us with camping gear for our ride.

Here is my setup for our ride weighing in at a total of 3.3 Kg.

The Ride

The five scooterist are embarking on a mammoth charity ride for beyond blue from Byron Bay NSW to Perth WA on our Vespa Classic Scooters.

Its been something we have been thinking about for a few years.

The plan is to ride, Leaving on the 24th March taking about 3 weeks traveling about 350 - 450kms a day.

We will finish at the Rockingham Scooter Rally in Rockingham WA in April 2018.We will have no support Vehicle or backup as we have everything covered.

What is the worse that can happen?

What we are looking for at this time is sponsors that can help fund the ride. Anyone or club who are able to offer us accommodation in the way of a place to trow up a tent, or bacon rolls and cups of tea along the way is much appreciated.
